Students need help outside office hours, and instructors can’t be available around the clock. Lumi Tutor gives students instant, course-grounded academic support the moment they need it, while surfacing what they’re struggling with back to instructors — so common pain points get fixed at the course-design level, not just patched one student at a time

What can it do?

• Answer questions grounded strictly in that course’s published materials — readings, lecture pages, assignment briefs, quizzes, announcements, video transcripts, syllabus — and cite the source so students can verify it
• Run Study Mode: generate summaries, key terms, flashcards, and personalized practice questions (multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, drag-the-words, true/false) via H5P, entirely from course content
• Generate a personalized, schedule-aligned study plan based on a student’s course calendar and progress
• Help students navigate the course — due dates, module structure, where to find materials
• Enforce academic-integrity boundaries by design: it won’t complete or submit assessed work, answer quiz/exam questions directly, or write essays for a student
• Feed instructor-facing insights — trend reports on frequently asked questions and topics students struggle with, enabling early intervention and better course design

What is the expected output?

For students: A cited, course-grounded answer, with a jump-back link to the source material, and — on request — Study Mode outputs like quizzes, flashcards, or a study plan
