If you are having trouble logging into your email or the MyLIU portal, first make sure you are entering the correct credentials. For students, your username will always be Firstname.Lastname, with nothing extra before or after. For faculty/staff your username is always first initial plus last name, ex. jdoe.

Resetting your password

Faculty/staff:

To reset your password you must either go to your campus’ it department with your ID, or have your department secretary/supervisor send an email on your behalf to request a password reset. Once your login is reset, your password will be set as your Employer ID number. You will be prompted to change this when you attempt to login. It is recommended that your password be no less than 10 characters which also includes a capitol letter, a number, and a special symbol (!*^@%).

Students:

You may either go to your campus’ IT department  or call our support number. Be sure to have your Student ID number on hand. Once your login is reset, open a browser and activate your account.  It is recommended that your password be no less than 10 characters which also contains a Capitol letter, a number, and a special symbol (!*^@%).

Note: Due to FERPA regulations, parents are not able to call for password resets on behalf of students.
